A world-class casino and resort just wouldn’t be complete without world-class activities, featuring something for everyone in the family. From golf packages (including mini golf), skiing and snowboarding, to go-kart, motorcycle or bicycle rentals, we’ve got a great selection of activities for the great outdoors.
Inside, you’ll find a 50-lane bowling alley, cinema multiplex and a 40,000-square foot video game/parlor, game/simulator, rides and laser tag arcade that every kid (and the kid in you) can enjoy. There’s also plenty of shopping, including some of Nevada’s most unique boutiques, sprinkled throughout the resort.
Finally, if there’s something you always wanted to do – anything at all, you can always ask our Adventure Desk, who will do their best to make it happen.
Reno - Tahoe Activities
Grand Sierra Resort is centrally located in the heart of America’s Adventure land and offers a variety of year round activities for the whole family. Whether it’s skiing or snowboarding, golfing on one of the 40 world-class golf courses or jet skiing in our nearby gem, Lake Tahoe, you’ll find that there is no shortage of outdoor sighting and activities. The only problem is finding enough time to experience it all.
Grand Sierra Adventures
When you want to plan your next great outdoor adventure, stop by Grand Sierra Adventures Desk located in our main lobby and we’ll set you up with anything from golfing to skiing, scenic boat rides, Sierra snowmobile tours, motorcycle rentals and local guided tours of the Reno/Tahoe area. The Adventure Desk is open seven days a week and can always recommend an event or outing.
Shopping
With nearly 21 fashionable botiques, the Grand Sierra Resort offers guests superb shopping options. Our collection of stores showcases some of the most unique styles in all of Reno, as well as conventional convenience stores. Don’t waste time double-checking your suitcase — you can find almost anything right here.
Bowling
Our hotel guests don’t have to go far for the best bowling in Reno. Our state-of-the-art 50-lane bowling center offers inexpensive fun for the whole family and a perfect place to host birthday parties or corporate events. Friday and Saturday nights we have glow in the dark party bowling. Our bowling center comes complete with a pro-shop, snackbar and lounge.
Ultimate Rush Thrill Park
For you dare devils, we have a thrill ride that combines sky diving, bungee jumping and hang-gliding all into one amazing ride and also the Sling Shot where passengers experience 4 Gs as they are hurled into space at over 70 mph! Plan a day of fun and heart pounding action at Reno’s only Speed and Thrill Park.
Fun Quest
Fun Quest may be the largest video arcade your family will ever see. Located on the lower level of the Grand Sierra Resort, Fun Quest includes over 40,000 sq ft of games and attractions. The arcade features over $1,000,000 in the latest video and redemption games and 6,000 sq ft of exciting Laser Tag space. We have private party rooms to host birthdays and we’ve just finished installing the latest video games and a brand new, soft playground.
Grand Sierra Cinema
For only $3 per person, bring the whole family to see Hollywood box office hits on the big screen while not breaking the bank. Our cinema is a unique experience with a full- service snack bar and comfortable seating, including traditional love seats, while being surrounded by top-quality digital audio and visual equipment.
Go Karts
Start revving up those engines and put the pedal to the metal on our professionally designed go-kart track. You have the choice of racing on the Oval Track, Slick Track or the popular Road Course. The karts are fast and fun, so buckle up and find out who’s the fastest in your family or group of friends
Miniature Golf
Our 18-hole miniature golf course is challenging and offers a fun experience for even our youngest players. Putt your way around trees, streams, waterfalls and fun obstacles. The miniature golf course is open day and night and is fun for the entire family.
Indoor Golf
Enjoy the championship courses the pros play — Pebble Beach®, Kapalua, Harbour Town and Pinehurst, without having to worry about keeping up with Tiger Woods. Our virtual indoor golf courses allow you to play simulated courses using real woods and irons. Play year round golf right here in Reno.
Driving Range
Hotel guests and the public can enjoy our on-property golf driving range. However, this is no ordinary driving range. Golfers take aim at four floating island greens out over the waters of Grand Sierra Bay. Golfers good enough to land a hole-in-one are rewarded with prizes. Lessons are available.
