Hammerking Productions Ultra4 Racing is set to invade Reno, Nevada Sept 8th through 12th 2010 in what has the potential to rival the iconic Griffin King of the Hammers. Hammerking has built the season opener into the must attend event in February, now it has set its sight on theUltra4 Finals in September. Hammerking Productions has partnered with the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino to bring the excitement of Hammertown to the Biggest Little City in the World Reno, Nevada with a $10,000 purse and 10 qualifier spots for the 2011 Griffin King of the Hammers. After a year of discussion, Hammerking has secured a five year lease on property east of Reno that will yield plenty of challenging trails for the years to come.” We have not even scratched the surface!” is the report from the advance trail builders. Not only have the icons of rock crawling laid a hand on trail building, but Rod Hall has developed the high speed sections for the sister desert race Xtreme Outlaws taking place Father’s Day weekend at the Grand Sierra Resort.
The action will begin Wednesday, September 8th with the release of the course map, and early bird casino specials. Also on track for September 8th is theUltra4 national race sanctions annual meeting. Pre-running will begin Thursday September 9th and will feature a mid-day lunch and pre-run party hosted by Off-Road Innovations near the race course. Thursday night the Grand Sierra Resort will be the place to play. Friday the 10th will be a late start, allowing teams another chance to pre-run or finish last-minute items, maybe sleep in for a change with tech/contingency starting at the Grand Sierra Resort parking lot at 12:00 p.m.

Tech and contingency will be a little different than other Ultra4 races with a vendor midway, 4-wheel drive vehicle show, ORI best prepared club challenge, Rock Zombie Land Use bikini car wash, and Ultra4 pit crew challenge. Tech will run from 12:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. followed by the 9:00 p.m. drivers meeting and car show awards inside the Grand Sierra Resort.
Race action will start around 8:00 a.m. at the racecourse site, and end by 6:00 p.m. Following the race, Ultra4 Racing will host the Pirate4x4.com post race party at the Xtreme Sports Bar in the Grand Sierra Resort. You can party the night away with the winner of the Stampede. The 2010 Ultra4 Stampede will be a Griffin King of the Hammers qualifier and the last west coast chance to qualify before the 4Wheel Parts LCQ race week in Hammertown. It will also be a great chance for team testing before the big race. The course is still in development but will feature at least 4 canyons, high speed sections, and a great spectator viewing area. This event will be held on private property, there will be no onsite camping, but Grand Sierra Resort does have a campground. Hammerking encourages that you plan your travels around staying at the host hotel as we have a lot of excitement in the works including theatric showings of the entire Hammerking film collection in the GSR theater. The Ultra4 Stampede, “A whole new race, far from expected”.

The Xtreme Outlaw race held this past Father’s Day weekend at the Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) combined an Xtreme Outlaw 250 (XO250) desert race, Xtreme Livfast Super Moto (XLSM), and Xtreme LivFast Freestyle Motocross (XLFM) with autograph signings and plenty of entertainment including performances by The Offspring, Tommy Lee and John Huntington. Chuck Dempsey and Micky Dymond were the biggest winners at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino taking home the purse and some amazing “Six-Shooter” trophies.
Chuck Dempsey took first place in a Speed Technologies Class 1 car when he outran his competitors in the Xtreme Outlaw 250 Desert race (XO250). A 250 mile loop course built by Grand Marshal Rod Hall, Don Gilman from ORI Reno and sanctioned by VORRA was one of the more difficult races drivers have experienced. “This race was rock crawling, desert racing and rally racing all in one, I didn’t know we got to do all three,” said Roger Norman, racer and land owner.
Micky Dymond won the 450 Unlimited class in the Xtreme LivFast Super Moto (XLSM) Saturday and won the $1,000 dash for cash on Friday Night. A total of 263 competitors counting 40 pro riders took to the track including Matthew Winstanley who came all the way from Europe to compete in the weekend events. Race promoter Tim O’Brien said “It was a fantastic weekend. The track was smooth yet fast and technical. The over-under bridge jump was a crowd hit.” The Xtreme LivFast Freestyle Motocross (XLFM) professional racing exhibition team amazed the crowds this weekend by throwing themselves and their bikes 70+ feet into the air completing a variety of dangerous stunts.
The Grand Sierra Resort topped off the weekend with live entertainment every night featuring The OffSpring in the Grand Theatre, and at The Beach DJ Tommy Lee and John Huntington of Huntington Tattoo and star of A&E’s “Inked”. The Xtreme Outlaw Bar + Lounge was open all weekend with the beautiful Xtreme girls serving food and cocktails. Free martini night for the ladies was also a huge hit. The hotel was sold out, and casino floors and bars were packed with over 40,000 people in attendance over the weekend long events. With the successes over the past weekend, look for Xtreme Outlaws to become a Father’s Day tradition.
Big thanks to our sponsors! Xtreme Outlaws would not be possible without their support. Please visit our Supporting Partner page.

In an unprecedented outcome following an incredible week of competition the event resulted in a five-way tie for first place. After all of the scores were tallied, it was Mike Morrissey (Laguna Beach, Calif.) and Chad Shetler (Dana Point, Calif.) who shared the podium. Reno Xtreme Fights III wows the nearly sold out crowd yet again with another strong fight card of both boxing and Mix Martial Arts (MMA). Brandon "Flawless" Gonzales stays undefeated at 12-0 with a unanimous decision over the heavy hitter Barnell Boone of Atlanta.
Gonzales took the first four rounds using a stiff jab and three punch combination's. Pushing Boone back with bobbing/weaving under Boone's jab ,then countering with accurate punches. The momentum favored Gonzales for four rounds, till Boone recharged in the fifth. Using footwork to clear from Gonzales attack and counter with a left jab, when Gonzales followed forward.
"He's a crafty veteran. I could get him hurt, but I couldn't get him out of there," Gonzales said. "He's a strong guy. I hit him with a few shots that I thought should have more effect, but more credit to him."
In the eight and final round, Gonzales came out hard and fast ripping shots to the head and body but Boone returned the favor with a huge ringer to the head that sent Gonzales mouth piece flying. However, Gonzales stayed focus on his combo's and dominated most of the ring to lead him to victory.
The judges score card were 78-74 79-73 80 -71 unanimous decesion for Brandon Gonzales
