Formed in 1967, Chicago is one of the longest-running and best-selling music groups of all time. Known for their distinctive horn section and genre-defying sound, the band first gained national attention with their debut album “Chicago Transit Authority,” which showcased a bold fusion of rock, jazz and soul. The band built a remarkable early run with a series of multi-platinum releases including “Chicago II,” “Chicago III,” “Chicago V” and “Chicago VII,” each highlighting their evolving sound and musicianship.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, the group dominated the charts with a string of hits including “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” “If You Leave Me Now” and “You’re the Inspiration.” Their ability to seamlessly shift between high-energy rock anthems and polished ballads helped define an era of popular music and broaden their global appeal. Chicago’s extensive catalog includes 38 studio albums, six live albums and numerous compilations, with 21 Top 10 singles and five consecutive No. 1 albums. The band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and earned multiple Grammy Awards, in addition to being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
