Legendary Rock Guitarist Jeff Beck to Perform at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, Saturday, Nov. 12

RENO, Nev. (Aug. 15, 2022) – Hailed as one of the most influential guitarists of all time, Jeff Beck has left an indelible mark on the landscape of modern music. The Grammy-award winner is bringing his astounding technical skill and versatile style to Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m.

Tickets for Jeff Beck at GSR go on sale Friday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. and start at $44.50, plus additional taxes and fees. Infinity Rewards members will have access to presale beginning Thursday, Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. PT through 10 p.m. PT. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit grandsierraresort.com or call 1-800-648-3568.

Ranked in the top five of Rolling Stone’s list of “100 Greatest Guitarists,” Beck is revered for his innovative playing style and brazen personality. The English rocker’s winding career traces back to 1965 when he assumed the role of lead guitarist for The Yardbirds after Eric Clapton’s departure. During his brief time with the iconic band, Beck managed to broaden the boundaries of electric guitar with his explorations of reverb, fuzz tone and distortion, ultimately proving to be a pioneer of psychedelic rock. In 1967, he formed the Jeff Beck Group with vocalist Rod Stewart and began defining heavy rock with his signature Stratocaster tone and intricate compositions. After a period of calm, Beck released the mostly instrumental album “Blow by Blow,” which peaked at No. 4 on the American Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA.

From jazz-fusion, to classic blues, to pop, Beck’s artistry has influenced nearly every facet of music. His impressive collection of accolades speaks to his visionary talent – he has been inducted been inducted twice in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame as a Yardbird member and as a solo artist and has racked up a total of eight Grammy awards in the categories of Best Rock Instrumental Performance and Best Pop Instrumental Performance. Guests are sure to receive a masterclass in guitar from one of music’s most colorful characters. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Platinum-Certified Recording Artist G-Eazy to Headline at LEX Nightclub, Saturday, Sept. 3

RENO, Nev. (Aug. 3, 2022) – The Billboard-charting record producer and rapper G-Eazy will return to LEX Nightclub inside Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, wrapping up the LEX Late Night Series.

Debuting in the late 2000s, G-Eazy was declared “the James Dean of rap” with his slicked hair, leather jacket and unapologetic swagger – he developed a knack for exploring the intersection between the excessive party lifestyle and more introspective musings. In 2014, he proved his status as a bonafide artist capable of delivering serious bars with the release of his major-label debut “These Things Happen,” which featured the hit duet with Bebe Rexha “Me, Myself & I.” After garnering an international following and the attention of other music superstars, G-Eazy delivered a string of chart-topping hits such as “Him & I” featuring Halsey and the 7X platinum single “No Limit” with A$AP Rocky and Cardi B.

After the turbulent period of quarantine, G-Eazy settled into a more mature sound, drawing inspiration from David Bowie and The Pixies for his 2021 album “These Things Happen.” Regardless of the more serious tones in his latest work, G-Eazy is still notorious for drawing feverish crowds and delivering high-energy performances. Doors open at 10 p.m.

Tickets for G-Eazy’s performance at LEX Nightclub may be found online at lexnightclub.com. Guests can now book their VIP tables online by visiting lexnightclub.com/vip-tables or by contacting the LEX reservations team at info@lexnightclub.com.

In the midst of his political career in 1994, Portland-native Thomas Lauderdale became dissatisfied with the lackluster music at campaign events, spurring him to form Pink Martini — a little orchestra with big ambitions. Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world — crossing genres of classical, jazz, and old-fashioned pop — Pink Martini set out to provide beautiful and inclusive musical soundtracks for political fundraisers for causes such as civil rights, affordable housing, the environment, libraries, public broadcasting, education and parks. In 1995, Lauderdale recruited his Harvard classmate and revered singer/songwriter China Forbes to join Pink Martini. The dynamic team went on to craft some of the band’s most enduring songs, including “Sympathique,” “Lilly,” “Clementine” and “Let’s Never Stop Falling in Love.”

Following their European debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997, Pink Martini released their debut album “Sympathique,” which received nominations for Song of the Year and Best New Artist in France’s Victoires de la Musique Awards in 2000. Pink Martini released “Hang On Little Tomato” in 2004, “Hey Eugene!” in 2007 and “Splendor In The Grass” in 2009. In November 2010, the band released “Joy To The World” — a festive, multi-denominational holiday album featuring songs from around the globe. All five albums have gone gold in France, Canada, Greece and Turkey. The band’s global outlook and multilingual repertoire have earned them international acclaim with over 3 million albums sold worldwide on their own independent label Heinz Records. Twenty years after their inception, Pink Martini featuring China Forbes still tours the world, singing in 22 languages at opera houses, concert halls, film festivals, museums and fashion shows. In 2014, Pink Martini was inducted into both the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame and the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

RENO, Nev. (July 19, 2022) – With a new academic year on the horizon, the Meruelo Family Scholarship awarded $12,500 to dependents of Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) team members who have recently graduated or are actively pursuing higher education. Five exemplary students received a $2,500 scholarship to be applied toward college or advanced learning programs during a special presentation on Tuesday, July 19.

Puscifer, Fronted by Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, to Perform at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, Saturday, October 15

RENO, Nev. (July 12, 2022) – Fronted by Maynard James Keenan—lead vocalist of Tool and A Perfect Circle—Puscifer is set to perform at Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 at 8 p.m.

Tickets for Puscifer at GSR go on sale Friday, July 15 at 10 a.m. and start at $49.50, plus additional taxes and fees. Infinity Rewards members will have access to presale beginning Thursday, July 14 from 10 a.m. PT through 10 p.m. PT. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit grandsierraresort.com or call 1-800-648-3568.

Fans of Tool and A Perfect Circle are accustomed to Maynard James Keenan’s irreverent humor and distinct musicality, and his latest project, Puscifer, is no exception. The group’s catalog consists of four full-length studio albums: “‘V’ is for Vagina” (2007), “Conditions of My Parole” (2011), “Money Shot” (2015), and “Existential Reckoning” (2020)—in addition to a series of EPs and remixes. Beyond the core trio of Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Mat Mitchell (guitar, production), and Carina Round (vocals, songwriting), the group’s ever-evolving ecosystem encompasses Greg Edwards (bass, guitar, keys), Gunnar Olsen (drums), as well as a cast of characters such as Billy D and his wife Hildy Berger, Major Douche, Special Agent Dick Merkin and many more. Meanwhile, the moniker’s origins can be traced to a 1995 episode of the HBO classic Mr. Show where Keenan first used the name “Puscifer.”

Keenan has kept his finger on the pulse of society as demonstrated with Puscifer’s 2020 studio album “Existential Reckoning,” which takes aim at American culture and politics in a post-COVID landscape. Hit singles like “Apocalyptical” and “The Underwhelming” propelled the album to No. 7 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. The band wrapped up their first trek in support of the album in 2020; the month-long outing saw Puscifer bring audiences their largest scale productions to date performing at the Greek Theatre (Los Angeles), Brooklyn’s Kings Theater and the state-of-the-art Mission Ballroom in Denver. Replete with aliens, and appearances from beloved Pusciverse characters, the show has been described as “a sublimely bizarre spectacle” (Phoenix New Times), a “theatrical show… offering up an entertaining set that extended far beyond music” (Consequence) and simply “out of this world” (Arts Fuse). Doors for the show open at 7 p.m.

Grammy Award-Winner Gary Clark Jr. to Perform at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, Thursday, Oct. 6

RENO, Nev. (July 12, 2022) – Grammy award-winner Gary Clark Jr. will bring his genre-defying virtuosity to the Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 at 8 p.m.

Tickets for Gary Clark Jr. at GSR go on sale Friday, July 15 at 10 a.m. and start at $39.50, plus additional taxes and fees. Infinity Rewards members will have access to presale beginning Thursday, July 14 from 10 a.m. PT through 10 p.m. PT. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit grandsierraresort.com or call 1-800-648-3568.

A versatile artist and prolific performer, Clark has been enveloped in the music world from the time he was 12 years old and began playing small blues gigs in his hometown of Austin, Tex. It didn’t take long for his soulful vocals and bluesy guitar riffs to propel him into the spotlight and earn him an endorsement from local legend Jimmie Vaughan. His acclaimed debut album “Blak and Blu” released in 2012 and brought him his first Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Please Come Home.” Although he was often tasked with carrying the torch of blues rock heritage into the modern era, he transcended expectations and incorporated funk, rock and hip hop influences into his following works. After a period of extensive touring, which included opening for rock legends The Rolling Stones and Foo Fighters, he released his second album “The Story of Sonny Boy Slim” in 2015, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums that year.

His dynamic style was solidified in his 2019 album “This Land,” which featured a masterful fusion of social consciousness and stylistic variation and scored him two Grammy Award wins including Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for his single “This Land.” Doors for the show open at 7 p.m.
