Celebrate the season with delicious dining specials at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino

RENO, Nev. (Nov. 17, 2020) – This holiday season, festive feasts await you at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) where guests can enjoy special holiday menus for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve at Charlie Palmer Steak, Grand Café, RIM and Uno Más Street Tacos + Spirits. 

THANKSGIVING

Charlie Palmer Steak

Begin your holiday festivities with seasonal appetizers like Butternut Squash Ravioli with pancetta, brown butter, parmesan Reggiano and sage ($17) or a Wild Grain Salad with wild rice, crisp barley, green wheat freekeh, assorted radish, shaved heirloom carrots and a poppy vinaigrette ($13). For the main course, dine on a Diestel Turkey Dinner with sausage stuffing, haricot vert, honey glazed baby carrots, butter potato, turkey gravy and cranberry relish ($51). End on a sweet note with a Warm Bourbon Caramel Apple Pie with pecan praline ice cream, vanilla bean anglaise and spiced pecans ($13). Charlie Palmer Steak will serve this á la carte menu on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. 

Grand Café

Gather ‘round the table for a traditional Thanksgiving feast. Enjoy a first course salad with artisan greens, shaved carrots, tear drop tomatoes, English cucumber and garlic dusted croutons. Slow oven roasted turkey served with bless mash, house made turkey gravy, hericot vert, cornbread stuffing and candy yams will also grace the table, making the dinner a full holiday feast. A final dessert course featuring double layer pumpkin cheesecake served with bourbon pecan caramel sauce. The Grand Café will serve this Thanksgiving Day Special for $28 per person on Thursday, Nov. 26 beginning at 7 a.m.

RIM

Forget the turkey this Thanksgiving and enjoy a first course of Asian Deep Fried Oysters with creamy garlic sauce and pork and shrimp Wonton Soup at RIM. Then, savor Sweet and Sour Pork with peach and Beef with Broccoli in oyster sauce with steamed Jasmine rice. For dessert, indulge in Coconut Mascarpone Mousse Cake with ube chiffon, white chocolate glaze and mango sorbet. RIM will serve this Thanksgiving Day Special for two or more guests for $38 per person on Thursday, Nov. 26 beginning at 5 p.m.

CHRISTMAS 

Charlie Palmer Steak

Celebrate the Yuletide at Charlie Palmer Steak where you can dine on a choice of Sweet Potato Gnocchi with pancetta, brown butter, parmesan Reggiano and sage ($14) or a Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad with roasted almonds, cranberries, ricotta salata and lemon poppy vinaigrette ($15) for starters, followed by a main course selection of Hidden Valley Honey Glazed Ham with new potato mash, green bean casserole, spice roasted carrots and natural jus ($49). Finish with a Brandied Egg Nog Panna Cotta served with spiced chocolate crumb cake and orange scented caramel ($12). Charlie Palmer Steak will serve this á la carte menu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Grand Café

The holidays are grand at Grand Caféwhere you can start the celebration with Deep Fried Perogies served with carmelized onion crema, followed by a Spiced Rub Grilled Flat Iron Steak and Pan Seared Scallops served with grilled aspargus and Bearnaise reduction sauce. Complete the festive meal with Egg Nog Cheesecake topped with brandy caramel sauce. Enjoy Grand Café’s Christmas Day Special for $40 per person on Wednesday, Dec. 25 starting at 7 a.m. 

RIM

Celebrate Christmas and the New Year with a feast fit for a king beginning with Sweet Corn Soup with Crab Meat and Roasted Duck served with duck bun and Sweet and Sour Shrimp tossed with onion, pineapple and bell peppers. Served with Jasmine steamed rice, enjoy Peking Steak Filet sautéed with sugar peas or Stir Fry Cod Filet served with wild mushrooms sautéed in white garlic sauce. Finish with Candied Ginger Crème Brulee. RIM will serve this Holiday Special for two or more guests for $58 per person Friday, Dec. 25 through New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 1 beginning at 5 p.m.

Uno Más Street Tacos + Spirits

Begin a three-course feast with Caldo de Res, a traditional dish made of beef chuck with onion, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, cilantro and lime wedge. Then, for the main entrée, enjoy Sabana de Pollo, pounded chicken breast served with black beans, Chimichurri sauce, Monterey Jack cheese, caramalized onion, pico de gallo and roasted serrano chile. End the meal with a special dessert from Chef Patti Dellamonica-Baule. The Christmas Weekend Special menu at Uno Más is $29 per person and will be available Friday, Dec. 25 through Sunday, Dec. 27 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. 

NEW YEAR’S EVE

Charlie Palmer Steak

Celebrate the end of 2020 with a dinner sure to start your 2021 off with a bang. The New Year’s Eve special at Charlie Palmer Steak starts with an amuse-bouche of Kushi Oyster with pomegranate arils and champagne mignonette. Then, choose from Lobster Bisque ($19) or Dungeness Crab Capellini with lemon garlic cream and fresh herbs ($21). Dine on Beef Wellington & White Truffle Rosini for the main course with foie gras, yukon puree, red wine demi-glace and Maldon sea salt ($155). Sweeten the meal with Pink Champagne Cake, made with macerated strawberries, white chocolate crumble and champagne-infused butter cream ($13). Charlie Palmer Steak will serve this á la carte menu on New Year’s Eve, Thursday, Dec, 31 from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Grand Café

Begin your New Year’s Eve meal with a Seafood Crepe stuffed with a savory shrimp and crab mixture, topped with a dill crema. Then, enjoy a Veal Ragu served over rigatoni pasta and topped with herb ricotta and shaved parmesan. Complete the festive meal with a Death by Chocolate Tart with whipped white chocolate, raspberries and truffles. Enjoy the Grand Café’s New Year’s Eve Special for $40 per person on Thursday, Dec. 31 starting at 2 p.m. 

Uno Más Street Tacos + Spirits

Ring in the New Year with a three-course special, starting with Uno Más’ Aguachile Ceviche made of white seabass, onion, tomato, basil, coriander, avocado, cucumber, jicama and lime juice. Enjoy a main course of Spiced Coffee Filet and Grilled Chimichurri Shrimp served with angel hair pasta, Mexican pesto, chimichurri sauce, roasted pepitas, queso fresco, sautéed asparagus and charred cherry tomatoes. Finish with a Rumchata Crème Brulee with Mexican wedding cookies and chocolate dipped strawberries. This holiday menu at Uno Más is $45 per person and will be available New Year’s Eve, Thursday, Dec. 31 and New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 1 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
