About Your Visit

At Spa at Grand Sierra Resort, we believe in life lived in balance and the curative benefits of our spa treatments and services. To make the most of your spa experience, prepare yourself by reading more about what to expect, our rules of etiquette, and how to manage your reservation.

Reservations

Appointments may be made at the Spa desk or by calling the Spa directly at 775-789-2186. Requests for specific therapists or gender requests must be made at the time of booking. While we strive to meet each request, we do not guarantee availability.

Arrival

Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so you will have time to change into your robe and sandals. You may wish to arrive earlier to enjoy the spa facilities before your service. Arriving late will reduce the time you have to enjoy your treatment. Your treatment will end on time, and full charges will apply.

What to Wear

We will provide a robe, sandals and private locker. A swimsuit is needed for co-ed areas and outdoor pool. You can purchase swimsuits in our retail boutique if you forgot to bring yours along. If you are using the fitness facility, please wear appropriate workout attire. Proper athletic shoes are required. Please do not bring jewelry or valuables to the spa. Grand Sierra Spa does not assume liability for personal items.

Healthy Communication

At the time of reservation, please inform your reservationist if you are pregnant, have allergies, disabilities or any other conditions of which we should be made aware. Receiving treatments when ill (with a cold or flu, for example) may cause symptoms to accelerate and may place our treatment staff in an unhealthy environment. If illness is detected, alternative treatments or rescheduling may occur.

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted outside of the spa lounges. All beverages must be in a plastic container. For your health and safety, if intoxication is detected, rescheduling of services may occur.

Rescheduling / Cancellations

We welcome any changes or cancellations up to 4 business hours prior to the start of your first scheduled appointment with no extra charge or penalty. Changes/Cancellations made with fewer than 4 business hours’ notice will result in a 50% charge. No-show appointments will be charged at full price. Group services are subject to contracted agreement.

Gratuities

For guest convenience, we will add a 20% service charge for all Spa & Salon services. For exceptional service, additional gratuities are left to your express discretion.

Age Restrictions

Spa guests must be at least 18 years of age to enter the spa facilities. Salon appointments are available to guests 8 years of age and older when accompanied by an adult. Hotel guests must be at least 16 years of age to enter fitness center.

Spa Rules

For the comfort and privacy of our guests, cell phones, cameras, and pagers must be turned off at all times in the spa and fitness facilities. Audio devices must be used with headphones. Smoking is not permitted.
