Grand Sierra Resort to go dark for Earth Hour Saturday, March 30

WHAT: 

Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) will join a worldwide movement as the property goes dark for #EarthHour2019. All exterior, non-essential lights will be turned off between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.

Earth Hour is organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and is held annually to mark the importance of tackling climate change. GSR leadership is committed to environmental sustainability and has taken steps to improve the resort’s energy efficiency and waste reduction. Through GSR Cares, the resort’s employee-led corporate responsibility program, GSR continually seeks ways to sustain and support the community while also investing in and implementing new ways of doing business and adopting sustainable practices.
