RENO, Nev. (Wednesday, Nov 23) – ‘Tis the season for holiday cheer! Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) is Northern Nevada’s home for the holidays with a stacked calendar full of festive activities the whole family can enjoy.

The Ice Rink at GSR: Nov. 25
Fun for the whole family, The Ice Rink at GSR invites guests to glide and twirl around the magnificent outdoor rink while enjoying the heated resort pool, fire pits, a full-service bar with a seasonal cocktail menu and seasonal treats. Opening Friday, Nov. 25, skate daily throughout the winter season from 4 to 8 p.m. Guests can reserve tickets for two-hour skate sessions for $17, including skate rentals, or can book ice time at $10 per hour. Pictures with Santa: Dec. 10–11
Santa Claus is coming to town! Celebrate the season with complimentary photos with Santa in the Kids Club at GSR on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11 from 12 to 5 p.m. Located on the Spa level, kids can also enjoy complimentary cookies and hot chocolate.

“A Christmas Rock Story” Cirque Spectacular: Dec. 18–31
Beginning Sunday, Dec. 18, the acclaimed Grand Theatre inside GSR will be home to “A Christmas Rock Story,” a family-friendly cirque-style show with a rockin’ holiday twist. The show blends the traditional with the ultra modern to create a rockin' holiday fantasy full of spectacular sights and sounds. The cast of award-winning performers include “America's Got Talent” finalists and extreme trapeze artists Tyce & Mary and renowned broadway singers James Brown Nairn and Yvette Clutterbuck performing new classics with a comedic twist. The show also features Santa's Motorcycle Globe Riders, a daredevil troupe who will have audiences on the edge of their seat as they perform gravity-defying feats inside a giant metal globe. “A Christmas Rock Story” is the perfect holiday treat for the whole family and guaranteed to be a night of unforgettable fun and heart-pumping surprises.

“A Christmas Rock Story” will perform daily at 7 p.m. from Sunday, Dec. 18 to Saturday, Dec. 31. Tickets are on sale now and start at $19.95 plus additional taxes and fees. Local guests with valid ID will receive two tickets for the price of one for any Sunday–Thursday show. Discount has a limit of 8 tickets and must be purchased at the GSR Box Office with the appropriate form of ID.
