RENO, Nev. (May 27, 2025) – Chef Charlie Palmer’s highly anticipated annual Pigs & Pinot event is back at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 inside the Summit Pavilion. For one night only, guests can enjoy a variety of dishes featuring locally raised pork paired with an exclusive selection of pinot noir wines all curated by Charlie Palmer Steak.

This signature event will feature culinary stations that include a bevy of delicious pork dishes made with fresh ingredients. In addition to the unique, creative dishes and a selection of Sonoma County’s renowned pinot noirs, guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow foodies, winemakers and winery representatives, as well as culinary icon Chef Charlie Palmer.

This year’s event will feature five culinary stations where guests can enjoy a series of pork-tastic creations. Dishes include The Carvery, a succulent spread of dry-aged pork cooked to perfection and served with tangy Dijon mustard sauce and fragrant roasted rosemary potatoes. Guests can also savor the rich, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly paired with creamy apple risotto cake, smoky chipotle caramel and zesty pickled onions. The pork shawarma is a pork twist on the classic, topped with cool cucumber tzatziki and wrapped in warm, garlic naan. For a taste of the Mediterranean, the Kontosouvli features tender, Greek-marinated pork tenderloin skewers served over Mediterranean rice.

The dessert station will cap off the evening with a selection of irresistible pork-inspired treats. Guests can indulge in a decadent bacon cinnamon roll ice cream sundae, featuring creamy vanilla ice cream topped with warm, gooey cinnamon roll pieces and crispy bacon crumbles. The strawberry red velvet bites offer a rich, velvety cake infused with vibrant strawberry flavors, while the chocolate-dipped candied bacon combines sweet, salty and smoky in a perfectly crunchy finish — a trio of indulgences sure to make guests go hog wild.

Featured vintners include Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, Carneros, Santa Lucia Highlands, Sta. Rita Hills – Central Coast, Anderson Valley and more. Select winemakers and winery representatives will also be present to offer insights into their winemaking process and showcase their latest releases.

All-inclusive tickets are now on sale for $185. To learn more or purchase tickets, visit Grand Sierra Resort’s Eventbrite page.
