RENO, Nev. (June 2, 2026) – Chef Charlie Palmer’s highly anticipated annual Pigs & Pinot event is back at Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 inside the Summit Pavilion.
For one night only, guests can enjoy a variety of dishes featuring locally raised pork paired with an exclusive selection of pinot noir wines all curated by Charlie Palmer Steak. This signature event will feature culinary stations that include a bevy of delicious pork dishes made with fresh ingredients. In addition to the unique, creative dishes and a selection of Sonoma County’s renowned pinot noirs, guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow foodies, winemakers and winery representatives, as well as culinary icon Chef Charlie Palmer.
The evening begins with a reception display of assorted charcuterie, house-made sausages, artisan cheeses, salumi, prosciutto, jams and nuts, setting the stage for a feast of pork-centric creations.
This year’s culinary stations showcase a variety of creative and indulgent dishes. From the Carvery, guests can enjoy a crown roast of pork loin, simply seasoned and roasted to perfection, finished with a light glaze and served with seasonal accompaniments. The interactive Chicharron AXE-tion station invites guests to customize crispy pork cracklings with an assortment of house-made salsas and dips. A dramatic full-roasted pig presentation will feature expertly prepared pork served with accompanying sides and sauces.
Additional featured dishes include crispy pork nuggets made with braised pork belly, topped with sriracha aioli and green onions, as well as slow roasted pork shoulder marinated in mojo, garlic, citrus and herbs, finished with crispy skin and paired with yellow rice.
The dessert station will cap off the evening with a decadent trio of sweet and savory creations. Guests can indulge in a s’more ice cream sandwich “Alaska” with warm bourbon bananas and candied bacon, savor a rhubarb and strawberry crisp topped with oat crumble, and enjoy chocolate-dipped candied bacon for the perfect balance of smoky and sweet flavors.
Featured wineries include Flowers Vineyards & Winery, WALT Wines, Dutton-Goldfield Winery, Bricoleur Vineyards, En Route Winery, Marchelle Wines, Patz & Hall, Frank Family Vineyards, Brewer-Clifton, Auteur, Niner Wine Estates, Willamette Valley Vineyards, Belle Glos and Calera, representing celebrated wine regions. Select winemakers and winery representatives will also be onsite to share insights into their winemaking process and showcase featured releases.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, local musician Eric Anderson will perform live throughout the evening, providing guests with a soundtrack as they explore culinary stations, sample featured wines and connect with fellow attendees.
