Greetings,
If you are joining us before and/or after your sojern to The Playa, we wish to provide you with some important information regarding your visit to Grand Sierra Resort, including loading and unloading your vehicle, oversized vehicle parking and more.
Where Do I Unload My Vehicle?
We know you are delightfully exhausted from your playa experiences so for your convenience we invite you to unload your belongings and luggage from your automobile or truck at the Valet Porte Cochere and a bell person will be happy to help you to your room. Do not unload trash at the main entrance. Do not use the main entrance Porte Cochère to load or unload your RV, trailer or oversized vehicle. Love the memories, leave the dust. We will have free compressed air dust-off stations available at the main entrances to ensure the playa stays in the great outdoors.
I Want to Leave No Trace
For the convenience of Hotel Guests trash dumpsters are provided on the East side of the property (refer to map below). Please keep the spirit of “Leave No Trace,” and use them to not leave an unwelcome mess. $50 per vehicle to utilize dumpsters. Access to dumpsters, Saturday, September 5 evening until Wednesday, September 9 morning.
Where Can I Park My RV?
RV, trailer and oversized vehicle parking is for registered hotel Guests only—be prepared to present your hotel reservation confirmation. Parking passes are available for purchase at the entrance to the RV Parking area in the East parking lot off Greg St. near the Truckee River (refer to map below), for $75 per vehicle. Display your parking pass prominently on the dashboard of your vehicle. Dry camping (sleeping/staying in vehicle), loitering and gathering is not allowed in parking areas. No semi-trucks.
Self-Awareness Is Priceless
We expect you will still be in playa mode but please be aware not everyone shares your boundless energy, enthusiasm and love of alkali dust. Be respectful of all Hotel Guests and enjoy a hot shower, however refrain from partying in your room or making excessive noise. GSR is a drug-free resort and we politely ask that you refrain from smoking marijuana and using other illegal substances on the property.
Enjoy the Grand Offerings
Please partake of all the wonderful restaurants, lounges, pools, spa services, shopping and “Grand Recovery” events available at GSR—you deserve it after your journey into the desert. Please remember to carry your ID with you; you will need it to access all “Grand Recovery” events.
