Meet Eminence

“I was a singer with the Bob Marley One World Tour for two years, I sang in cabarets for five years, and I was the city of Sparks, Nevada’s Idol winner for two years running,” she said. “Since then, I have been writing and recording my own songs. I want to ease the pain and bring love and joy to the listening audience through my music.”

Erika Malone has one of 'Those Voices', rich, resonant and honest. This year she gathered an A-List of hometown session musicians (she lives in northern Nevada where the gaming industry supports a vibrant community of professional musicians some have called Austin in the West) who, directed by producer Tom Gordon of Inspired Amateur Productions, created a soundscape for her stories, told in 'That Voice'. The result is Sunday Love, a grooving ballad of a lover's communication breakdown. If pressed she'll tell you her style grows from her love of songs sung by Gladys Knight, Janet Jackson, and Toni Braxton.

Her own band, Eminence, is a great live experience. Rock Photojournalist John Tuckness said of them, 'If you’re looking for a great band to see live, this is just what you’re looking for. You won’t be disappointed." Erika is a strong on-stage leader, who knows what she wants in a song and how to get to it with her band. All the hard work she's put in is now paying off; each band member is able to flourish, and Malone’s own vocal ability has simply been described as "genuine and spot on".

Musicians contributing to Sunday Love include Tristian Selzer (keyboard and piano), Mark Sexton (guitar), Joe Mckenna (bass), Cliff Porter and Darryl Harris (drums), Andrea Francis (vocals) and Tom Gordon (producer/engineer).

Erika Malone’s performance credits also include; Jah Creation, V-Flo, Goldfinger, Sisters by Choice, Three Shades of Black, Shine, Platinum Band and Musicole.
