310babii was born and raised in Inglewood, California, and was making his first original songs by early adolescence. When he was 17 he recorded "Soak City (Do It)" on his phone, freestyling the lyrics for the most part. An internet dance challenge quickly formed around the song, reaching celebrities and professional athletes within a few months of the track's independent release in June of 2023. The fast attention motivated 310babii to quickly collect songs for an album-length project, Lottery Pick. By September of 2023, a remix of "Soak City (Do It)" was released featuring Blueface, OhGeesy, and BlueBucksClan. Now an established presence from his viral hit, 310babii rounded out the year with a few new songs, including the Luh Tyler-assisted "Walk".
