Chris Daughtry stands as one of American Idol’s most beloved — and commercially successful — rock and roll alums. Immediately following his adrenalin-filled run on the show in 2006, Daughtry formed his eponymous band, topping the Billboard 200 just a few months later with a self-titled debut album.
