Fortified with the musical ability and Americana appeal of his father, Lukas Nelson has molded his own legacy with his soulful vocals and an undeniable devotion to the road. Relentlessly touring across the country from a young age alongside musical giants, Nelson garnered success in his own right after forming Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real. The band explores the undefined zone between rock, R&B and country with bassist Corey McCormick, drummer Anthony LoGerfo, percussionist Tato Melgar, multi-instrumentalist Logan Metz and guitarist/vocalist Nelson.
Influenced by their time performing as Neil Young’s touring and studio band, the group set off to forge their own reputation with studio album releases like “Promise of the Real” and “Wasted.” Their newest album “A Few Stars Apart” negotiates the opposing themes of loneliness and desire for self-improvement born during the pandemic. Additionally, Nelson collaborated with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper on the blockbuster film and soundtrack, “A Star Is Born.”
