Initially rising to fame on social media with comedic bits and music samples, Jaden Hossler – known professionally as jxdn – has since solidified his place as a new breed of rockstar. Seeking reprieve from the isolation he experienced during high school, jxdn (pronounced “Jaden”) turned to social media as a creative outlet. His presence on TikTok garnered 5.8 million followers and 202.3 million likes, but the young prodigy had higher ambitions and was able to successfully channel his internet fame into a bonafide music career.
After witnessing an arena show by the late Juice WRLD, jxdn released his independent debut single “Comatose,” which racked up over 20 million streams across platforms and landed on over 38 Global Viral Charts to date.The track caught the attention of legendary Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker, who immediately signed the teenager as the first artist on his DTA Records label.
His signature style defies boundaries, featuring elements of alt-rock, pop punk and trap rock alongside seething lyrics that often center mental health. His first two singles on DTA Records, “So What!” and “Angels & Demons,” both broke into the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot Alternative Songs in 2020, and at the age of 19, jxdn landed on Billboard’s Top 2020 21 Under 21 list.
