RENO, Nev. (Jan. 24, 2023) – The award-winning, regional Mexican group Banda MS is returning to the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets for Banda MS at GSR go on sale Friday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. PT and start at $49, plus additional taxes and fees. Infinity Rewards members will have access to presale beginning Thursday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. PT through 10 p.m. PT. Founded in 2003, Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga, also known as Banda MS, was created by brothers and members Sergio and Alberto Lizárraga and is widely considered one of the most influential regional Mexican bands in the world. The group’s prolific body of work includes “El Trabajo Es La Suerte” (2020), which peaked at No. 2 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart and features the band’s 14th No. 1 single “Cerrando Ciclos.” In 2022, Banda MS dropped their latest album “Punto y Aparte” and became the first regional Mexican group featured in the “Call of Duty” video game franchise with their single “141.”
Often credited with breathing fresh life into traditional Mexican brass-based music, Banda MS has won 18 Billboard Latin Music Awards, recently taking top honors at the 2020 awards in the Top Latin Album and Regional Mexican Artist of the Year categories.
