(April 17, 2023) Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award®-winning film comes to life in a one-of-a-kind concert event, featuring the entire feature-length film and and on-stage band celebrating all the record-breaking hit songs from the beloved soundtrack. “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert” will bring the magic of the Madrigal family to the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023 at 8 p.m.
Tickets for Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert at GSR go on sale Friday, April 21 at 10 a.m. PT and start at $19.50, plus additional taxes and fees. Infinity Rewards members will have access to presale beginning Thursday, April 20 from 10 a.m. PT through 10 p.m. PT. The 2021 animated film “Encanto” is nothing short of a cultural phenomenon. The enchanting tale follows Mirabel Madrigal as she fights to protect the magical powers everyone in her family possesses but her. The film dominated best animated film categories at the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs and the Producer Guild of America. “Encanto” also won three awards at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards in the visual media categories: Best Score Soundtrack, Best Compilation Soundtrack and Best Song.
Audience members of all ages are sure to recognize the popular tunes performed during the sing-along tour. The celebrated soundtrack features eight original songs composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and topped the Billboard 200 for nine weeks. The fan-favorite track “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” received widespread critical acclaim and held the leading spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks.
The entire feature film will be screened from start to finish, featuring a live band performing the music for all of the hit songs in sync with the film. Audience members of all ages are welcome to join in the fun and are encouraged to sing along throughout the concert and dress as their favorite characters from the film. This unique family-friendly concert experience will leave audiences laughing, singing and cheering for the whimsical characters and the moving storylines. Live characters do not appear in the event. Doors open at 7 p.m.
