Christmas Dining Specials

RENO, Nev. (Dec. 19, 2023) – Indulge in the spirit of Christmas at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR). From traditional holiday plates to elevated favorites and fiesta-inspired dishes, guests have plenty of options to choose from with special Christmas menus at Charlie Palmer Steak Reno, The Grand Buffet, The Grand Café and Uno Más.

Charlie Palmer Steak
This Christmas the Charlie Palmer Steak menu will feature an unforgettable three-course dinner fit for the holidays. With each course, guests can add a select wine pairing thoughtfully curated to complement the flavors. The night will begin with light appetizers before moving to a refreshing salad made with dried figs, granny smith apples, dried cranberries and mixed greens, topped with goat cheese and a fig balsamic vinaigrette. This refreshing salad can be paired with the crisp acidity of a Trefethen Dry Riesling.

For the main course, guests will enjoy a juicy 16 ounce, C.A.B. prime rib topped with a creamy horseradish sauce and beef au jus served alongside Yorkshire pudding, pomme purée and grilled asparagus. Guests can pair the entree with the fresh and vibrant flavors of Scribe Chardonnay. A chocolate sticky toffee pudding ends the night on a sweet note and is served alongside a vanilla bean ice cream topped with a bourbon vanilla bean sauce. Dessert’s pairing is the warm aromas and sumptuous flavors of Opolo Zinfandel for an energetic finish.

Charlie Palmer Steak will serve this Christmas menu on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 from 4 to 9 p.m. for $160 per person. Guests can add a half pound of Alaskan King Crab for $135. Wine pairings are $45 for 4 ounce pours and $60 for 6 ounce pours.

The Grand Buffet
There’s plenty of Christmas tradition at The Grand Buffet. Guests can choose from an array of traditional dishes like roasted herb-crusted prime rib, grilled t-bone steak or chicken fracassée served with a lemon butter sauce. Or load a plate with a large selection of fresh seafood options and favorites including lobster mac and cheese, seared salmon with lobster sauce, Dungeness crab or clam chowder with sourdough bread bowls. With so many options to choose from, The Grand Buffet might become a new holiday tradition.

The Grand Buffet Christmas special will be served on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pricing starts at $67 for adults and a special $9.99 for children. Breakfast options will be served from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Grand Café
Christmas is grand at The Grand Café. Guests can enjoy a three-course meal celebrating the holiday. Start the night off with a Christmas festive salad, made with mixed greens, feta cheese, candied walnuts and dried cranberries, tossed in creamy ranch dressing. For the main course, guests will enjoy a traditional Christmas slow roasted prime rib served with broccolini and a savory pumpkin risotto. End the night with a sweet white chocolate ricotta cheesecake served with a red berry compote and pistachio crumble.

The Grand Café will serve this Christmas special on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 starting at 4 p.m. for $45 per person.

Uno Más
For guests looking to add a little fiesta to their holiday, Uno Más pairs fresh ingredients with seasonal flavors for an unforgettable dining experience. Guests can begin the night with a fresh salad made with an assortment of berries, jicama and field greens, drizzled with a spicy chipotle orange vinaigrette.

For the entree, guests will enjoy a plate of Tacos de Cochinita Pibil, made with juicy centennial-marinated pork and pickled flaming onions. These slow roasted pork tacos are topped with xnipec charred hot sauce, made with spicy habanero peppers, purple onions and bitter orange juice for the perfect balance of spice and acidity.

To end the night, guests will enjoy a dulce de leche cheesecake topped with salted rum caramel and shaved chocolate, served alongside a scoop of butter pecan ice cream.

In addition to this deliciously spicy holiday menu, Uno Más has a duo of drink specials to celebrate the occasion including the Saint Nickarita Margarita made with Patron Silver, Cointreau, cranberry, agave and fresh lime — shaken to perfection and served in a sugar-rimmed martini glass. Or guests can enjoy the Winter Wonderland Mojito made with Bacardi, Bacardi Coconut, Frangelico, coconut milk, lime, cranberry and mint. Shaken and served over ice with powdered sugar garnish.

Uno Más will serve this Christmas special on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. for $38 per person. Add one of the special holiday drinks for $19.
