RENO, Nev. (July 15, 2026) – Grand Sierra Resort announces 38 Special will take the stage at the acclaimed Grand Theatre as a part of their “50 Year Legacy Tour” on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.

For more than five decades, 38 Special has delivered on their trademark blend of Southern rock, arena-ready anthems and guitar-driven hits that have earned the band a loyal following across generations. Founded by Donnie Van Zant, Don Barnes, Jeff Carlisi, Ken Lyons, Jack Grondin and Steve Brookins, the group spent most of their early years playing a steady grind of one-nighters, mostly in the South and the Midwest. After years of perseverance, the group rose to prominence in the late 1970s and 1980s with a string of chart-topping hits, including "Hold On Loosely," "Caught Up in You," "Rockin' Into the Night," "Fantasy Girl," "If I'd Been the One" and "Second Chance."

Since forming, the band has released more than 15 albums, sold over 20 million records worldwide and continued to tour extensively, delivering the same electrifying performances that first propelled the group to national acclaim.
