RENO, Nev. (June 26, 2026) – Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) announces legendary Mexican singer-songwriter José María Napoleón will bring his celebrated live concert experience to the acclaimed Grand Theatre on Friday, Aug. 28 at 8 p.m. as a part of his Hasta Siempre Tour De Despedida 2026.

Known as “El Poeta de la Canción,” José María Napoleón is one of the most celebrated voices in Mexican music and a defining figure of romantic ballads throughout Latin America. With a career spanning more than five decades, Napoleón has captivated audiences with his signature blend of mariachi, bolero, ranchera and orchestral arrangements paired with emotional lyrics. Since emerging in the 1970s with “El Grillo,” he has built an enduring legacy through beloved hits including “Celos,” “Eres,” “Pajarillo,” “Vive” and “Amiga Mía,” earning generations of devoted fans across Mexico, the United States and beyond.

Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Napoleón wrote his first song at just nine years old and went on to become one of the most influential singer-songwriters in Latin music. His compositions have been recorded and performed by iconic artists including Vicente Fernández, Pepe Aguilar and Plácido Domingo, extending his impact far beyond his own recordings. In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to music, he received the Latin Recording Academy’s Musical Excellence Award.
