RENO, Nev. (June 26, 2026) – Grand Sierra Resort announces that Rival Sons will bring their acclaimed rock sound to the Grand Theatre on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026 at 8 p.m. as a part of their “Domestic Bliss Tour” with support from The Blue Stones and The Velveteers.

Formed in Long Beach, California, Rival Sons emerged in 2009 with a sound rooted in classic rock while forging a distinctly modern identity. Fronted by vocalist Jay Buchanan and guitarist Scott Holiday, the band quickly earned acclaim for their soulful songwriting, blistering guitar work and exceptional live performances. Over the course of their career, Rival Sons have released multiple critically acclaimed albums, including “Pressure & Time” (2011), “Hollow Bones” (2016) and “Feral Roots” (2019), establishing themselves as one of rock's premier contemporary acts.
The band has received two Grammy Award nominations for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Album and has shared stages with legendary artists including Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Guns N' Roses. Joining is Canadian blues-rock duo The Blue Stones. Consisting of vocalist and guitarist Tarek Jafar and drummer Justin Tessier, the band broke through with their debut album "Black Holes" and have continued to build momentum with releases including "Hidden Gems," "Pretty Monster" and "Metro." Known for blending blues, rock and alternative influences, The Blue Stones have toured extensively across North America and Europe, sharing stages with artists including Slash, The Glorious Sons and Greta Van Fleet.
Additional support comes from The Velveteers, the Colorado-based rock trio known for their raw energy and garage rock sound. Fronted by vocalist and guitarist Demi Demitro, alongside dual drummers Baby Pottersmith and Jonny Fig, the band has drawn praise for its powerful live performances and distinctive lineup. Since the release of their debut album "Nightmare Daydream," produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, The Velveteers have toured extensively around the country with top rock artists and have earned recognition as one of rock’s rising live acts.
