RENO, Nev. (May 24, 2022) – The highly anticipated annual Pigs & Pinot event is back at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10. For one night only at LEX Lounge at GSR, guests can enjoy a variety of dishes featuring locally raised pork paired with an exclusive selection of pinot noir wines all curated by Charlie Palmer Steak, Reno’s only celebrity chef-owned restaurant.
In addition to many delectable and creative dishes and a selection of Sonoma’s finest Pinot Noirs, guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow foodies, winery representatives, as well as culinary icon Chef Charlie Palmer.
This signature event will feature culinary stations that include pork belly chicharron served with an Argentinian chimichurri, sous vide pork tenderloin with grilled peach relish, crispy pork fried rice with forbidden jasmine rice, and of course a whole roasted suckling pig served with all of the fixings for street tacos.
The dessert station will provide a sweet ending with a variety of Pigs & Pinot inspired delights including a chocolate dipped candied bacon, strawberry shortcake with fluffy buttermilk bacon biscuits, and chocolate dipped ice cream cones with your choice of creamy peanut butter ice cream or coconut sorbet, as well as toppings.
Featured wineries include Charlie Clay, Daou, Belle Glos, Bricoleur, Hahn SLH, and Boen. In addition to the wine pairings, there will also be an assortment of Pinot Noirs from Goldeneye, Anderson Valley, and Bricoleur Vineyards and Limestone, Sonoma County.
