RENO, Nev. (January 9, 2024) – Traditional Mexican singer/songwriter Pancho Barraza will perform at Grand Sierra Resort’s (GSR) acclaimed Grand Theatre on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 8 p.m.
Tickets for Pancho Barraza at GSR go on sale Friday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. PT and start at $75, plus additional taxes and fees. Born Francisco Javier Barraza Rodríguez, Pancho Barraza first became involved in Mexican traditional music after moving to Mazatlán and joining a local grupero band as the lead vocalist. He continued to hone his talent as a member of the brass bandas, Banda San Sebastian and Banda Camino.
Following a stint as the lead vocalist and songwriter for Banda Los Recoditos, Barraza kick started his solo career with the debut album “Mis Canciones De Amor.” Considered a Mexican regional superstar, Barraza’s songs continue to enjoy success in his homeland and the United States.
