The Dead South is a Canadian folk-bluegrass band that hails from Regina, Saskatchewan. Formed in 2012, the band's unique blend of traditional folk, bluegrass and gritty punk influence has garnered them widespread acclaim. Prior to the launch of their debut five-song EP, “The Ocean Went Mad and We Were to Blame,” in 2013, the band performed extensively in live venues.

Their 2014 album, “Good Company,” found its release through the German label Devil Duck Records, marking the beginning of substantial international touring. The breakout success of the album is often attributed to its single, “In Hell, I'll Be in Good Company,” and its corresponding video on YouTube. The band's discography includes two additional studio albums — “Illusion and Doubt” (2016) and “Sugar & Joy” (2019). They have also produced two other EPs — “Easy Listening for Jerks Pt. 1” and “Pt. 2” (both released by Six Shooter Records in 2022), as well as a live album titled “Served Live” (2020).

The Dead South don’t shy away from ruffling traditionalists feathers from time to time, as they flawlessly execute banjo rolls and lightning-fast mandolin tremolo, three-part harmonies and songs with classic themes. Confirmed by the passion of their Dead South cosplaying fans, who go to concerts in the band's signature look, this four-piece acoustic set from the middle of the Canadian prairies has cultivated a dedicated following. Doors open at 7 p.m.
