RENO, Nev. (August 26, 2021) – Beans and brews lovers will rejoice this fall when Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) welcomes back its annual Beer & Chili Festival on Saturday, October 16, 2021. The event will once again feature live entertainment, more than two dozen local, regional and national craft beer favorites and GSR’s restaurants serving up chili samples and featured menu specialties. Event-goers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite beer and chili to be named “People’s Choice.” The restaurant and brewery with the most “People’s Choice” votes will each win $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice along with a trophy and bragging rights. Tickets for the annual fall classic are on sale beginning Friday, August 27.
Guests can try draughts from award-winning breweries from across the West including 10 Barrel Brewing, Belching Beaver Brewery, Brewer’s Cabinet, Bud Light Seltzer, Cigar City Brewing, Elysian Brewing, Flying Embers, Founders Brewing Co., Four Peaks Brewing Company, Golden Road Brewery, Kona Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Ninkasi Brewing Company, Odell Brewing Co., Pigeon Head Brewery, Samuel Adams, Truly Hard Seltzer Beers and more. Returning with their signature chilis and specialty dishes in are GSR’s acclaimed restaurants including Charlie Palmer Steak, Grand Buffet, Grand Café, California Pizza Kitchen, Uno Más Street Tacos + Spirits and GSR’s Banquet Chefs.
A variety of packages are available for beer and chili lovers. Before Friday, Oct. 1, unlimited beer and chili tasting packages with one hour early entry begin at $50 and general admission for $40. Unlimited beer only tasting packages with early entry begin at $40 and general admission for $30. After Oct. 1, prices increase with unlimited beer and chili tasting packages with early entry begin at $60 and general admission for $50. Unlimited beer only tasting packages with early entry begin at $50 and general admission for $50. A portion of the proceeds from the Grand Sierra Beer & Chili Festival will benefit the Reno Rodeo Foundation.
