Grand Sierra Resort and Casino celebrates the season with a festive holiday kickoff event Thursday, Nov. 18

Spectacular tree lighting ceremony features the Depoali Middle School Choir, a special visit from Santa Claus and more than 130 illuminated trees

WHAT:

GSR is ready to celebrate the season with a special tree lighting ceremony Thursday, Nov. 18. The community is invited to revel in the holiday spirit beginning at 6 p.m. in the main lobby as the Depoali Middle School Choir sings holiday carols and Santa and Mrs. Claus spread holiday cheer with light refreshments including hot cocoa, hot and sparkling cider and cookies. Then, join GSR team members, the choir and other special guests as they light more than 130 Christmas trees around the resort including three trees amidst the resort rooftop and other holiday décor at 7 p.m. 

WHO:

The Depoali Middle School Choir joins GSR team members and executives including General Manager Shannon Keel to officially begin the holiday season with members of the community. 

WHEN:

Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. 

*The event begins at 6 p.m. in the main lobby followed by the lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. on the landing just beneath the stairs from the south porte-cochère.
