Grammy-nominated ranchera singer, songwriter and actress Paquita la del Barrio is renowned not only for her musical attributes but also for her tough attitude and colorful personality. After moving from her native Veracruz to Mexico City in 1970, Paquita devoted herself to the craft of music, eventually releasing her debut album “El Barrio de los Faroles.” It wasn’t long before Paquita’s undeniable musical prowess and unapologetic attitude earned her a loyal following that revered her as a feminist icon. Some of her most notable anthems like “Rata De Dos Patas,” “Me Saludas a la Tuya” and “Tres Veces Te Engañé" center around female empowerment and take aim at Mexico’s macho male culture. Over the course of her 50+ year career, Paquita has honed her powerful stage presence and cultivated a distinctive anthology that earned her a lifetime achievement award at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Los Angeles native Marisela burst onto the scene nearly four decades ago with her debut album “Sin El,” which launched the then 15-year-old into pop stardom. Her 1990 remake of Barbara George’s “I Know (You Don’t Love Me No More)" dominated clubs and reached No.1 on Billboard’s Latin Songs chart. Often referred to as the “Latin Madonna,” Marisela’s girly voice and platinum blonde hair remain a staple of Latin pop. Doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m.
