During the first week of August, GSR is proud to participate in Hot August Nights as an official event venue for the annual week-long car show. Reno’s largest resort will host show-n-shine competitions along with dazzling outdoor entertainment performances.
$10,000 Classic Cherry Show-n-Shine
From Tuesday, Aug. 2 through Saturday, Aug. 6, the GSR parking lot will be brimming with contestants from across the country, all eager to showcase their classic vehicles and snag some prize money. The daily “Best of Show” winner receives $500, and four runners up will win $250. On Saturday, judges will select the “Grand Overall Best of Show” who will take home $4,000. The competition will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and guests are encouraged to visit the website for more information regarding parking.
Live Entertainment on the Outdoor Stage
Nothing pairs better with America’s love for classic cars than rock-n-roll. GSR’s outdoor stage will feature a variety of rocking good concerts during the Hot August Nights spectacle. All performances begin at 8:15 p.m. with a special appearance by Tony V on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 4:30 p.m.

The hunt for hidden fortunes is just around the corner with the $100,000 Buried Treasure Bonanza. With over 400 total winners and a chance to win $20,000, Infinity Reward Members can hurry and start earning entries on Friday, July 29 beginning at 4 a.m. and continue racking up entries until Saturday, Sept. 3 at 11:59 p.m. This lucrative bonanza features weekly drawings on Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. – prizes range from $100 to $1,000 in free play.
