Charlie Palmer Steak Reno Earns 2023 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence

RENO, Nev. (June 29, 2023) – Charlie Palmer Steak, Reno’s only celebrity-chef owned restaurant, is proud to be recognized as a recipient of the 2023 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. The prestigious award is presented to restaurants around the world offering outstanding wine selections carefully curated to complement their cuisine and appeal to a diverse range of wine enthusiasts.

Charlie Palmer Steak has won the Award of Excellence. The Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. Charlie Palmer Steak Reno has also previously won the Award of Excellence for its curated and evolving wine list.

The 2023 winning list of wines, hand selected by Chef Charlie Palmer, features an extensive list of California reds complemented by an exquisite selection of wines from Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Charlie Palmer has continued to expand the list to include a curated assortment of imported wines from Italy including selections from Viberti Giovanni, Carpineto, Fontanafredda and Poderi Elia, along with a French selection including Maison Leroy, Château de Beaucastel and M. Chapoutier Ermitage Le Méal.

Guests seeking to experience Charlie Palmer’s award-winning selection of wines can indulge in the renowned Wine Wednesday event at the steakhouse. On the first Wednesday of every month, Charlie Palmer Steak offers complimentary wine tasting of a featured vineyard starting at 4 p.m. For the rest of the month, guests can special glass and bottle pricing. During Wine Wednesday, patrons can enjoy the happy hour menu, featuring an enticing array of delectable appetizers.
