Founded in Los Angeles in 1983, by vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine, Megadeth helped define thrash metal alongside a handful of peers and then outlasted nearly all of them. The band earned early notoriety for Mustaine’s technically ferocious guitar work, politically charged lyrics and an uncompromising attitude that set them apart from the start.

Their debut album, “Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!” (1985), established the band’s speed-driven style and uncompromising edge. But it was 1990’s “Rust in Peace,” featuring fan favorites such as “Holy Wars… The Punishment Due” and “Hangar 18,” that secured their place in the metal canon.

Two years later “Countdown to Extinction,” brought Megadeth mainstream success: at No. 2 Billboard debut, double-platinum sales, Grammy nominations and radio staples “Symphony of Destruction” and “Sweating Bullets.” Decades of relentless touring and acclaimed releases followed,  including the Grammy Award–winning album “Dystopia.”

In 2026, Megadeth released their 17th and final studio album, “Megadeth,” known among fans as the “White Album,” a powerful culmination of their storied career that blends the razor-sharp precision of their early years with the melodic depth and lyrical reflection that have defined their later work. As they bring this final chapter to the stage, fans can expect a thunderous, career-spanning setlist delivered with the technical mastery and relentless energy that have long defined Megadeth’s live performances, complete with searing guitar solos, commanding vocals and a high-impact production worthy of a legendary farewell. Doors open at 7 p.m.
